MAIN PROPULSION

Two Krunhout FAD 240 Medium speed Diesel, Pressure charged. Made in Hamburg. Germany in 1968. Single acting, four stroke, trunk piston with 6 in-line cylinders. 7 main bearings. Brake horsepower for each engine equals 530 BHP @ 750 rpm.

Brevo type 514 propulsion gears with a 2:1 gear ratio turning the propellers @ 375 rpm when engine rpm is 750

Propellors - 2 each solid four blade bronze. dia. 60", pitch 53", outboard rotation, plus 2 spares on board.
