Facts:
-
In 2008 and 2009, TDI-Brooks geotechnical coring projects for BP represented 2.2% and 2.3%, respectively, of TDI-Brooks total revenue.
-
About 50% of the TDI-Brooks/B&B Labs laboratory revenue comes from federal contracts that monitor the nation’s regions for water, tissue and soil contaminants and that study unique oceanic habitats as a means of preserving these extraordinary environmental areas.
-
TDI-Brooks' laboratory has been audited within the last two weeks by the Trustees (federal and state government agencies selected to oversee the BP Horizon spill) to confirm and approve all sample handling and analytical methods.
TDI-Brooks/B&B Labs offers high-end trace contaminant analytical services to federal agencies including National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Minerals Management Service (MMS) and private companies. TDI-Brooks/B&B Labs is NOAA's long-term contractor (last 12 years) for the National Status and Trends Mussel Watch project. This is the premier long-term coastal monitoring program in the nation. TDI-Brooks/B&B Labs is also one of US Fish and Wildlife Service's three (3) trace organic contaminant laboratories for residue analysis (including hydrocarbons) in sediment, water and tissue. NOAA and USFWS are two of our government's Trustee members for the BP Horizon oil spill. TDI-Brooks has conducted a number of large, multidisciplinary deep-ocean environmental studies projects for MMS, involving top university-based Principal Investigators from major universities in the US and Europe.
NOAA has also contracted as part of the Trustee's efforts an independent organization to provide quality control oversight. Our lab is one of the few laboratories in the nation with extensive experience and laboratory capacity in measuring the full range of alkylated PAHs (Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons) in marine water, sediment, and tissues. A typical state laboratory does not have this experience or capability.
TDI-Brooks also conducts worldwide projects with our five (5) research vessels that involve oceanographic services including marine geochemical and geotechnical coring, environmental baseline and site surveys, and heat flow studies. Many of these projects are conducted for the major multinational oil companies including BP.
Our corporate values have been posted on our web site since our inception in 1996. These values speak to the way we handle all of our business affairs. We consider NOAA, USFWS, and BP to be highly valued clients. We will produce the highest quality analytical results that we can for each of them, as we will with all of our other clients.
