Safety Management
TDI-Brooks has created a Comprehensive Training Program with the goal of training, supporting and engaging our employees in a continual improvement process.

We believe in safety first, quality second, and efficiency third. Safety should not be sacrificed or degraded in trade for higher quality or efficiency. Likewise, quality should not be sacrificed or degraded in trade for higher efficiency. Our company-wide safety system comprises a robust set of processes and training elements specific to each of our four main departments: Marine, Tech, Lab, and Admin. On the Marine side, it takes the form of our frequently audited Safety Management System (SMS) with its controlled Safety Management Manual (SMM) and a set of continually monitored safety-impacting, forward and back-looking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
We realize that the strength of our safety system is heavily dependent on each individual employee. We focus on maintaining an on-going dialogue between management and our employees and provide ample opportunity for feedback. To improve communications and to reinforce the importance of safety practices, our vessels, labs, and shops are visited regularly by management. We also maintain Core Safety Training for all employees who work in each of our four departments. This training includes an introduction to our safety system policies and processes.
